PRISM - Derived Search Corporate/Conference Name Key

Rule:

The Format/Pattern of letters to be taken from the first, second, and third parts of corporate or conference names is:

=4,3,1

Examples:

Lunar Science Conference	= luna,sci,c
Philharmonia Baroque Ensemble	= phil,bar,e
Garbage [ a rock band ]	= garb,,

Notes

• The equal sign and both commas are included even when there are fewer than 3 parts to the name.
• This is because the equal sign and commas identify the search as a Corporate/Conference Name Key Search to PRISM.
• Include words in such qualifying phrases as (Firm) when constructing the search statement.

  Examples:

  Macy's (Firm)		=macy,fir,
  3Com Corporation		=3com,cor,
  REM [ a rock band ]		=rem,,

• Use dc (derived corporate name).

  3Com Corporation

  fin dc =3com,cor,

Corporate/Conference Name Search STOP words.

• Begin a Corporate/Conference Name Key Search with the first word NOT on the Stop Word list.
• But, include Stop Words that occur after the first NON-Stop Word.
