PRISM Searchable Fields or Indexes: "Access Points"

Scope

OCLC calls fields: "Access Points"
OCLC offers a variety of fields for searching the WorldCat, (aka the Online Union Catalog), including:
- Author
- Title
- Publisher
- Various Numeric fields
- Combinations of fields
What Fields are available to search on depends on:
- The types of search being conducted. (See Types of Searches following).
- What searches are supported in the database being searched.

Indexed Fields

Use index labels with find (fin) and scan (sca) commands. Which index label works with which command depends upon the database and the label.
Index labels can also be used with combined keys.
