• OCLC Prism
  • Provides access to WorldCat, also known as the OCLC Online Union Catalog.
  • Most libraries access the OCLC services via this service, usually through the use of Passport software on Windows-based computers.

  • Uses "Command-line" functions.
  • Can be downloaded from the OCLC web site.
• Connexion - Web-based interface
  • Web-based interface that facilitates access to WorldCat via your web browser.

  • Includes CatExpress, a Web-based interface for cataloging.

  • This contains several hundred thousand documents on political, sccial, and economic issues.
• CORC (Internet catalog)

  • This is an Internet catalog containing several hundred thousand citations.
  • It is created by volunteers, but OCLC charges for its use.

Reference Databases

• FirstSearch
  • FirstSearch provides access to several dozen online databases containing millions of full-text articles. That databases include a variety of products from other database producers as well as:

    • OCLC ProceedingsFirst.
