Infotrac Databases: Microfilm Collections

Scope

• Infotrac has several microfilm collections of journals for many of the articles cited in their various databases.
• At the end of citation or full records in many of the articles in the various databases, there may be
  • An abbreviation that shows if the article is also available on IAC microfilm collections.
  • A number following the abbreviation specifying
    • The roll of microfilm the article is on.
    • The frame on the roll at which the first of the article starts.

Microfilm collection abbreviations

• Magazine Collection
  • The abbreviation is Mag. Coll.
• Electronic Collection
  • The abbreviation is Elect. Coll.
• Business Collection
  •  The abbreviation is Bus. Coll.

Roll / frame format

• Format: NNXNNN, where N stands for numbers and X stands for letters.
• Example: 89L2311
