Using Quick Search

2. Click on the bullet for whether you want to search through a the searched fields in records or browse an index of words.
 Keyword returns records containing the word(s) entered.
  • It will return records only if there are records that contain those words.
  • If not, it will take you to a list of headings.
Browse returns catalog headings beginning with the first word entered.
  • This is useful if you do not know exactly what you are looking for, including the spelling.
Exact returns records that exactly match the word(s) entered.
  • When you select Exact, you have to know exactly what you are looking for, including the spelling.
3. Choose the type of search that you want to do.
  • Essentialy, you are specifying the fields that you want searched..
    • Search Everything targets all indexed fields within a record.
    • All other choices target specified fields within a record.
