MELVYL: Now Part of the California Digital Library

Scope

• The California Digital Library (CDL) was formed as an overall agency for the provision of information services to the University of California.
• Consequently, it has incorporated all of the MELVYL information tools and services, including:
  • The major publically accessible online library catalog databases:
    • The online union catalog (CAT) containing a substantial portion of the records from the libraries of all of the UC campuses.
    • A database of the periodicals (titles and issues) at all UC campuses.
  • The licensed commercial article databases.
  • Other databases
