Searching MELVYL: Commands: FIND [f]

Scope

• The find command (you can just use the letter "f") is the basic Search Command in MELVYL.
• You use it to locate records for books, periodical titles, and comments.
• You issue the command in the following manner:
  • find [index] [search words]
• The index tells the MELVYL system what kind of search to do. For example:
  • find su [subject] libraries

    find tw [title words] art

    find au [author] hemingway, ernest
