Scope

MELVYL Display

Use one of the following indexes with the FIND command:

 

Keyword indexes (word order doesn't matter):

PA Personal Author SU Subject words UT Uniform Title

CA Corporate Author TW Title Words SE Series

 

Exact indexes (words in exact order):

XT Exact Title XS Exact Subject XC Exact Corporate Author

XOT Exact Other Titles

 

Searches using exact indexes are usually faster and more precise than searches using keyword indexes. [This is very true, but you have to have the exact title, author, etc., as they are in the database.]

 

Other indexes:

ADDED index DATE index TI (searched as TW or XT

FORM index LANGUAGE index depending on words used)

 

Periodicals indexes:

PE Periodicals Title words RPE Related Periodicals Title words

XPE Exact Periodicals Titles XRP Exact Related Periodicals Titles
