Searching MELVYL: Utility Commands: Start

Scope

• The start command resets certain session characteristics called settings to their default values and cleans out all the computer work areas that the MELVYL system uses to process your search and display commands. Any sets or results saved into a list will also be cleared.

Usage

• Type start by itself to return to the opening MELVYL "welcome" screen or to begin a new session in the MELVYL system.
  • You can also use begin, logon, login, signon, or signin instead of start.
• You can also use start to choose a database:
  • start [database name]
