Searching MELVYL: Display Formats

Scope

• You will see your results in the short or bibliographic (citation) display format unless you specify another display such as long.
• The short display includes the author, the title, and holdings information (the libraries where the book is held and the book's call number).
• There is a wide variety of display command configurations. Type help indexes or help fields to see the various fields/indexes that can be displayed.

d browse	results of browse search
d find	find results before last search
d marc	results in MARC format
d 1,3 pa ti marc	personal author (including 100, 245, and 700 fields) and title (245 field) of records 1 and 3 in MARC format
d marc 100, 245,	specific personal author (100) and title (245) fields of all records in MARC format
d cont	display results continuously. Useful for using with the capture capability of Telnet programs.
