Searching MELVYL: Saving the Results of a Search

Scope

• Use the save command to save individual items from search results or to save entire searches to your list.
• save [record numbers] saves individual items into a list to display, print or download. Up to 200 records can be incrementally, sequentially save.
  • Example:
    • save 4, 7, 9

      saves three records from most recent search

• save set saves a search as a set for later use to combine
• with other searches or sets.

    • save set

Other commands related to the save commands:

To see your saved records type:

• display list [display options]

• To see specific sets type:
  • show sets [display options]

  To delete [del] specific records type:

  • delete [record numbers]

    Note: The remaining records will be numbered.

  To delete [del] specific sets type:

  • delete set [set number]

    Note: Sets are not renumbered.

  To clear all saved records type:

  • clear list or delete all

  To clear all saved sets type:

  • clear sets or delete all sets
