Using
Telnet - Deleting Text & Eliminating <^c> as
Interrupt Process

Deleting Text
(prior to cursor>
- In NCSA Telnet on the
Mac
- Hold down the "Apple" or
"Option" keys while hitting the delete (backspace) key to
delete text prior to the cursor.
- In Better Telnet on the
Mac
- Just hit the "Delete"
button.
Eliminating
Control-C <^c> as an Interrupt Process
- In NCSA Telnet on the Mac -
- Method 1:
- Hold down the "Apple" key
and the "S" key at the same time.
- A window will appear. The
Interrupt Process field should be highlighted.
- Hit the "Delete" key to
remove the "^c" in the Interrupt Process field.
- Click on the "OK" button to
enter the change.
- Method 2:
- Click on "Session"
pull-down menu on the control bar at the down of the
screen.
- Drag the highlight down to
"Setup Keys" and release the mouse button.
- A window will appear. The
Interrupt Process field should be highlighted.
- Hit the "Delete" key to
remove the "^c" in the Interrupt Process field.
- Click on the "OK" button to
enter the change.
- NOTE:
Every time that you exit OCLC (or are kicked out), you must
remove the "^c" in the Interrupt Process field
again.
- In Better Telnet on the Mac -
- Hold down the "Apple" key and
the "S" key at the same time.
- A window will appear. The
Interrupt Process field should be highlighted.
- The field should be blank. If
so, click on the "OK" button to leave the window.
- If the field is not
blank:
- Hit the "Delete" key to
remove the "^c" in the Interrupt Process field.
- Click on the "OK" button to
enter the change.
